The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) - Are You Ready?


California Legislature made history by passing the most comprehensive privacy law in the country, by mirroring the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Starting January 1, 2020, your company will have to meet the new rules to work in California. This session will go over some key considerations to help prepare.

Our speaker will be Sheela Kinhal, President at Kinhal Shah, LLC | Privacy & Cyber Security Advisory

Sheela is a senior technology professional with over 18 years of progressive industry experience. She is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), and CISA (Certified Information Security Auditor). She has worked with several clients in defense, commercial, and biomedical/biotechnology sectors.

Sheela has deep subject matter expertise in program management for system deployments and integrations, data privacy and governance (e.g., NIST, ISO, COBIT, and COSO), cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance initiatives (e.g. SOX404, PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR). She is also experienced in SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile development methodologies.
