About our speaker:

Dan Chaffer is an experienced IT leader, with a long track record of implementing and maintaining ERPs and other financial transactional, consolidation and reporting systems.  For eight years, he led a multinational team at Qualcomm to expand the Oracle footprint to cover over 100 legal entities in 40 countries.  After Qualcomm, he spent time consulting with several international companies, including Expedia, Cummins and Specsavers , as well as for some smaller companies here in San Diego County including Alphatec Spine, BergElectric and the Kelly Slater Wave Company.

He was brought into Sound United LLC as a full-time Director of IT in May of 2018, to rescue a Microsoft NAV implementation gone awry and to build the ERP team at their corporate headquarters in Vista.  Sound United sells many of the brands audiophiles will recognize, including Polk speakers and receivers by Marantz and Denon. After bringing stability to the NAV system, he led a small team to consolidate all North American ERP processing out of two legacy systems, completing this project in early October of 2019.  He was promoted to Sr. Director of IT and expanded his role to include global Business Intelligence, as well as North American ERP systems.  He relishes the opportunity to lead a team to deliver accurate, reconciled information from three ERPs (Two instances of SAP and Microsoft NAV) to the management team at Sound United.

Finally, as a lifelong musician, he's quite pleased to employ his professional skills at a company whose mission is to deliver better quality musical sound to the world.
